This is the biggest, oldest and really the best surf camp in Europe. The waves in front of the Mimizan coast are in the summer perfect for both beginners as advanced surfers. Wave surfing and bodyboarding is hot, because these are cool and challenging sports with a nice beach lifestyle.
Surfing
Surfing is the most original form of board sports that exist. You have a lot of board sports but it all started with surfing. Skateboarding, wakeboarding, snowboarding it all began with wave surfing. With wave surfing you use the movement of the sea to go forward on your board. You are actually riding on a wave. The sport started in Polynesia. The Polynesian brought the sport to Hawaii where the people got to know it. Then it became popular all over the world. Hawaii is still famous for surfing, because they have the most impressive waves of the world.
For beginners there are a few basic rules everyone on the water needs to know:
- The surfer on the wave has precedence on the surfer who is peddling to the outside of the wave.
- When there are more surfers on the wave, the one that is most in the wave (the closest to the foam) has precedence on the person who just came on the wave.
- When a surfer is already on a wave you can’t drop in.
- Let the other surfer on a wave know which side you are going to pick, so he/she can take the other side of the wave.
- No snaking! This is a surf term, it means that somebody steals your wave by peddling behind you and then take the wave.
Where do you go?
Now you know the basics of surfing and decided if you are interested, you need to know where you are going! In Europe one of the well-known surf spots is Mimizan in France. And you can go there this year! Mimizan isn’t just for surf and body board freaks, but for everybody one of the greatest vacation destinations in France. Mimizan lays at the Atlantic coast, has big tropical beaches and it’s real fun to go out at the pub Bar Le Surf and the night club Bar Americain. There are also a lot of good restaurants in the nice center.
At the surf camp itself is our own surfbar and we also have a nice place to chill with a lot of couches where we can watch a movie or listen to some music. There is a great atmosphere and everyone feels at home right away.
You stay at Camping de la Plage wich is located at 800 meters from the beach and 500 meters from the center of Mimizan. The camp has always a nice atmosphere! The bathrooms are clean and hot showers are free. The reception has lockers and there is a supermarket on the property. There are also possibilities to use the internet.
What are you doing?
On the camp we have a lot of surfboards, bodyboards, skimboards and cool beachcruisers. A lot of contestants don’t have much surf experience so everyone can join us. The surfcamp team is there for you to give you an unforgettable vacation. And of course help you to learn how to surf.
For the surf lessons you can book several combination packets that include the rental from your gear and the lessons.
Every week there are several activities organized by the staff of the O’Neill camp. There is a cocktail party where you can taste the most coolest surf cocktails. A beach party at the beach with a big beach fire and enough drinks and music!
You can also sign in for a music or surf trip to San Sebastian, a beautiful place across the border of Spain.
If that is not enough for you there will be a Mimizan dance party and beachcruisers.
At the end of the week there is a surf contest with beautiful prices, like a surf shirt or maybe a surfboard?

Weblogs as a marketing tool Version 2

There are a couple of terms that explain what a weblog is. Two of those are, online diary and a form of lightweight publishing. In general a weblog is a website where people can talk about a particular subject. The first one, online diary, is the most common among ordinary people. They use the weblog for their own personal subject. The second one is most common for company’s. They use the weblog as a marketing tool.
The first weblog is put online in 1997 by HTML experts. The weblogs where only for personal use. But in the year of 1999 the first weblogs where created for ordinary people to start there own weblogs. Weblogs are existing for 14 years know. In this period there has been a big break true and nowadays a lot of people are using these personal websites to put on their story or information about a particular subject.
After the beginning of weblogs, more and more company’s realised that a weblog can be used for external communication. With a weblog its very easy for a company to communicate with a lot of people about their product. A weblog is also a great marketing tool to get in touch with the ideas of the customers. Nowadays there are a lot of people with internet and that also means there are a lot of people to reach out to with a weblog. An example for the use of a weblog within a company is that sefferal employees are chosen to start a weblog. Each employee starts a weblog for a specific product and they fill it with news, updates and related sites. So a weblog has a big range and besides that, it is very cheap which also means small risks. These are the advantages of a weblog.
But a weblog also has disadvantages. The danger with weblogs is that it has to stay personal and also up to date. If a weblog is not up to date, people are going to lose their interest and if a weblog is not personal anymore people will see the weblog more as a commercial. Besides keeping the weblog personal, its also a big step for a company to give an employee the freedom to speak in the name of the company.
As you can read above, a weblog is a very simple but effective way of communication with customers. Although weblogs are a simple marketing tool its important to know how to use it. Because its cheap to get it doesn’t mean its also simple to use. When you want to use it you have to have a simple and effective idea of how to use it. No, I believe it is necessary to improve the introduction and remove the spelling and grammar faults.
